Join us at the CBA Building on our Interurban Campus to learn how to tap into the power of LinkedIn.  This workshop will show you how to build and maintain an epic profile that helps you connect with great opportunities.  We will discuss using LinkedIn for day-to-day job search tasks, connecting with recruiters and Camosun alumni and building a professional brand.

This workshop will be offered in a hybrid format for those not able to attend in-person.  Registration is required.

Are you a post-secondary student interested in becoming a CPA after you graduate?  This session will cover the CPA program in detail and include an open Q&A with CPABC's Student Recruitment Officer.  This session will be tailored to post-secondary students interested in becoming a CPA, and is open to students from any university of college program.

Online CPABC Accounting Night in Canada

Learn how to transfer your international education and work experience (accounting/finance) towards the CPA program and confer the CPA designation.  This free information session will walk you through the admission requirements, explain the structure of the CPA program, and how to connect with employers in the accounting sector.  Special guest speakers from BC settlement agencies will present on their resources for newcomers (recent PR status) in BC for financial assistance, free mentorship, and career counselling services to help you attain your goals in becoming a CPA.

Calling all accounting students!  Explore a co-op or new graduate position in accounting. Join Grant Thornton LLP for an exclusive opportunity to tour our Victoria office, network with our hiring team on Vancouver Island, gain insights into our internal CPA support program and learn how we set students up for success.  Registration is required.

Conversation with a CPA

Are you curious about what CPAs actually do?  If yes, join this short 45-minute conversation and listen to two CPAs from BC Public Service and hear about their career journeys and what they do now.  You will then have an opportunity to ask your own questions about a career in accounting.

  • CPAEF Bursaries and Scholarships
    Every year CPAEF offers a bursary program to BC students based on financial need with two deadlines to apply each year: May 15 and November 15. Scholarships are also available to students attending one of eleven BC post-secondary institutions that do not have named awards: applications are due May 1.
    Students can visit the CPAEF for application forms.
