Drop-in Orientation
Start your journey at Camosun by attending our drop-in orientations. These informal events are a great opportunity to:
- Discover the many services available to support your success.
- Ask questions directly to the Orientation team.
- Meet fellow students over a cup of coffee.
- Connect with Student Peer Ambassadors and learn about Peer Pods—a program designed to help you navigate college life.

D2L experts answer your questions
- This session is perfect for students new to Desire2Learn (D2L), Camosun’s online learning platform, or those with questions about its features.
- What you’ll learn: How to navigate D2L, access courses, set up notifications for updates, forward your email, and request support if needed.
More than just books: Making the most of your Library
- Discover how the library can support your academic success.
- What you’ll learn: How to proactively seek librarian assistance and utilize library resources for assignments, projects, and exams.
College survival tips: Managing your studies
- Get practical strategies for balancing coursework and developing a productive routine.
- What you’ll learn: How to prioritize tasks, create a class schedule, and manage stress and time effectively.

International student orientation
International students are required to attend all three New International Student Orientations.
Indigenous student orientation
Indigenous students can contact Eyēʔ Sqȃ’lewen – The Centre for Indigenous Education & Community Connections to connect with an Indigenous Advisor to get oriented to Camosun.
