Camosun College has launched the first phase of its new modern, mobile-friendly website to improve the experience of visitors whether students, employees or alumni.
The project goals were to modernized the design, create a more user-friendly experience and support mobile responsiveness with better navigation on all devices, as well as implement a new content management system. Currently half of the college’s web pages have been migrated with the rest to follow by the end of summer as part of a phased approach. The new and legacy websites are interlinked and up to date.
The new website is part of work to improve the student experience and builds on the launch of myCamosun, which is now available to employees and students. The college is also launching a new Academic Calendar in conjunction with the new website to help improve the student experience. The project goal was to implement curriculum management by creating a single source of program and course information for use by students and college systems.
